Therapy Services
Sex, relationship, and trauma therapy so you can heal, grow, and connect
Are you looking to bring more romantic, sexual, and everyday pleasure and connection into your life, while releasing shame and old wounds to step into a more authentic, joyful version of who you are?
We offer individual, couples, relationship, and sex therapy for people who want things to feel better: inside themselves, in their relationships, and in their lives.
Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or just not like yourself lately, therapy gives you a place to sort through it all with someone who’s on your side.
Many of our clients come to us because they’ve been through difficult or confusing experiences or relationships. Maybe with a partner, family member, or someone who made them question their reality or self-worth. Others are working through trust issues, anxiety, intimacy struggles, or patterns they can’t seem to break.
We also support:
People navigating open or non-monogamous relationships
Members of 2SLGBTQ+ communities looking for affirming, knowledgeable, and understanding care
Couples, polycules, and other relationships wanting to reconnect, communicate better, explore intimacy, or rebuild after hurt
Anyone exploring their sexuality, identity, or relationship style
What it’s like to work with us
Sessions feel like a real, grounded conversation, but they’re guided by clinical knowledge and a clear sense of direction. You’re not just talking; you’re working with your therapist toward meaningful change.
We work together to understand your goals, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and explore the emotional and relational dynamics beneath them. Your therapist will guide the conversation with care and intention, helping you connect the dots between past experiences, current challenges, and the changes you want to make.
You’ll gain practical tools and new ways of responding - to yourself, to others, and in your relationships. Whether we’re working through trauma, relationship struggles, identity, or intimacy concerns, sessions are focused on helping you grow, heal, and create real, lasting shifts.
In-person or virtual therapy sessions: whatever works for you
Most of our sessions happen online, so you can join from the comfort, safety, and convenience of your own space. We also offer in-person appointments in select locations if you prefer a face-to-face experience.
A space where you belong
We believe therapy should feel safe, inclusive, and real. No judgment. No assumptions. Just a place where you can explore what matters to you and start creating the kind of life and relationships you actually want.
Feeling understood shouldn’t be something you have to fight for in therapy.
Our team includes therapists with diverse identities, relationships, and lived experiences, including 2SLGBTQ+ and non-monogamous communities. We don’t expect you to educate us about who you are or how you live. We’ll meet you with awareness, respect, and curiosity.
We also recognize that nothing exists in isolation. Your identity, your relationships, your history, and your current challenges all shape each other. By combining individual, relationship, trauma, and sex therapy, we can support the full scope of what you’re navigating and not just one piece of it.

Our team includes experienced therapists with diverse identities, relationship experiences, and cultural backgrounds, and we aim to provide an inclusive, affirming space from the start. Each of the therapists at Healing Path Therapy have demonstrable skill and training in their areas of practice. -
Yes. Your privacy is taken seriously, and what you share in therapy is kept confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others). Your therapist will review confidentiality with you at the start so you know exactly what to expect.
-
It depends on your goals and what you’re working through; some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term therapy for deeper or ongoing work. We’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust as needed.
-
Either option is welcome. You can come on your own, with a partner, or with multiple partners. Individual therapy can still be very helpful for relationship concerns, and we can talk through what format might best support your goals.
-
Our work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, but we tailor therapy to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. We integrate individual, relationship, trauma, and sex therapy perspectives to support the full picture of your experiences.
The therapists at Healing Path Therapy are trained in a variety of therapeutic styles to help ensure a good fit for as many clients and concerns as possible. Some common types of therapy that our therapists use include systemic and relational approaches (e.g., Gottman method, Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy), Internal Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and narrative approaches. -
Yes - all the time! We offer affirming, knowledgeable support for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and people in non-monogamous, polyamorous, or otherwise open relationships. You won’t need to educate us about your identity or relationship structure; we approach this work with respect, awareness, and care.

Please check your individual insurance plan to verify your coverage for counselling and psychotherapy services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), or Canadian Certified Counsellor.
We are not typically able to offer direct billing to insurance companies. We collect payment from you at the time of the session and then provide you with an official receipt which you can submit for reimbursement.
We do have a number of clinicians who are NIHB providers. -
Psychotherapy is a space to talk things through with a registered professional to help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface. Together, you look at patterns, emotions, and past experiences, and find ways to respond differently so life and relationships feel more manageable and aligned.
-
Sex therapy is a type of talk therapy that focuses on intimacy, relationships, and sexuality. It’s guided by therapists with specialized training to understand how emotional, relational, physical, and cultural factors all shape your experiences.
People come to sex therapy for many reasons, like feeling disconnected from a partner, differences in desire, anxiety or shame around sex, healing from past experiences, or exploring identity, orientation, or relationship structures (including non-monogamy or kink).
Like traditional psychotherapy, there is no physical contact or sexual activity involved during sessions.
-
All of the therapists at Healing Path Therapy are recognized as a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Others hold additional qualifications such as the Canadian Certified Counsellor designation from the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association or as a Certified Sex Therapist with the Association of Sex Therapy in Ontario.
Our clinicians all complete regular and ongoing continuing education in their areas of practice.
